About Me.
I'm Molly. I am a pluralistic psychotherapist.
This means I work uniquely with traditional evidence-based psychological therapies in a relatable and compassionate way. I work within a humanistic framework which combines person-centred therapy, relational psychodynamic psychotherapy, grounding and mindfulness and some cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques.
Experience and Qualifications

I work full-time in the NHS supporting adults with mild, moderate and severe mental health difficulties. My specialist experience is with adults experiencing anxiety and low self-esteem; depression and low mood; bereavement and loss; and relationship difficulties. I have specific experience in supporting patients and carers living with chronic and long-term health conditions, such as cancer or neurological conditions. I have worked as a psychotherapist for adults and young people, within a sexual abuse charity offering short and long-term therapy to victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence. This means my work is trauma-informed and I utilise a variety of interventions e.g. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) techniques for distress tolerance. I have worked with young people between the ages of 15-18 suffering from anxiety, attachment issues and bereavement and loss.

I am a Registered Member of the BACP and work strictly within the BACP Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions. This requirement includes attending regular supervision with an experienced professional and regularly attending continued professional development.

Counselling Psychologist in Training
I have also completed my final year of professional doctoral training at the University of Roehampton, as a trainee Counselling Psychologist, eligible for HCPC accreditation. I am pending the final examination in March 2025, and following a successful examination, I will gain registration with the HCPC as a Doctor of Counselling Psychology. This means I have received training to doctoral level, and I am trained in a variety of psychological interventions. I utilise a range of approaches in my practice as I believe each person is unique. This means I can offer a therapeutic service and interventions specifically tailored to you and your needs.
